Three original antique photos of the the Santa Ana electrical power substation of the Southern California Edison Co., located in Santa Monica, CA. This is also known as the Ocean Park substation and was constructed in 1909 at 3116 2nd St. in Santa Monica. The building still stands.
Each photo is identified on the back by the original photographer, Lester Graham of Meeker, CO who took these photos on a fact-finding trip in 1910. Mr. Graham is pictured in front of switchgear in the interior photo. Graham and his brother, Roy, ran the electrical utility and powerhouse in Meeker.Each photo is printed on 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" paper and appears lightly sepia toned.
