Original antique advertising card for Kiernan-Hughes Company, manufacturers of paper boxes, label printing, and display novelties, located at Ninth & Brunswick Streets, Jersey City, New Jersey.

The front features bold, high-quality typographic printing in blue, while the reverse displays a finely detailed red illustration of the company’s factory building, complete with street traffic and smokestacks—an excellent example of early industrial advertising artwork.

The listed telephone numbers (“1481 J.C.” and “1482 J.C.”) indicate an early telephone exchange system, placing this piece firmly in the early 20th century (circa 1905–1915). Card measures approximately 2-5/8 × 5 inches, a non-standard size typical of period trade and advertising cards rather than personal business cards.

Condition is very good for its age, with light toning and minor surface wear consistent with over a century of age. No major creases or losses noted. An attractive and historically rich piece of New Jersey industrial, printing, and packaging ephemera.
