This vintage C. T. Art-Colortone divided-back postcard shows Hotel Statler in Detroit, Michigan. The large red-brick hotel fills the view, with its ornate upper stories, street-level entrances, trees, period automobiles, and a neighboring Hotel Tuller sign visible at right. Published by United News Co. of Detroit and produced as a Genuine Curteich-Chicago Art-Colortone card, it is numbered 240 and 3B-H1515. The one-cent stamp box and format support an approximate 1930s era. It may interest collectors of Detroit local history, Statler hotels, architecture, automobiles, Grand Circus Park, and Michigan postcards. The unused card has light edge wear, toning, scattered spotting, minor surface marks, and a penciled number on the reverse. Please review all photographs.
