Original circa 1940s-1950s advertising matchbook cover from The Original Mexican Restaurant in San Antonio, Texas. The historic restaurant was established in 1899 on Losoya Street and operated there until 1960, becoming an important early landmark in San Antonio’s Mexican restaurant history. Features colorful sombrero artwork on one side and the famous “At the Sign of the Big Lantern” advertising design on the reverse.
