  • Excellent book

Excellent history about how the African Americans were able to fight in WWII thanks to Eleanor Rosevelt! My father fought with the 761st Tank Batallion in the European Theatre of Operation under General George S Patton. Great history for all races, nationalities and ages to know! Also read Hit Hard by David J Williams He was my dad’s, Floyd Dade Jr, captain in A Company.

  • Great book

This book fills in a lot of blanks about the lack of recognition of black soldiers in WWII. Read it and learn about institutional racism.

  • An interesting read

Bought this because I'd heard about it historically but never read anything about it. Historical fiction that tells about a part of World War II that isn't often discussed. Not great writing but a good narrative nonetheless about the African American military experience during the war. I'd give it an 85 out of 100.
