vintage red and white glass \"TELEPHONE\" sign designed to fit Telephone Booth For Sale

vintage red and white glass "TELEPHONE" sign designed to fit Telephone Booth. Your sign was manufactured specifically for the Sherron Metallic Corporation, a major manufacturer based out of Brooklyn, New York, that contracted heavily with the Bell System from the 1940s through the 1960s.

• The Booths: While standard wooden or later aluminum booths (like Western Electric models) favored a wider 25.5" or 26" transom glass panel, Sherron's classic recessed-steel indoor and outdoor acoustic booths used this narrower 22 1/4" footprint.
