\"Rare\" and absolutely lovely vintage religious set of 3 (Jennings Bros) - a cast metal with gold gilt crucifix with matching candlesticks. Marked on bottoms - JB 2032 (crucifix) and JB 2056 (each candlestick) and Pat Aug 30, 1921 for the patent date on the underside of the bases. The detail on this set is incredible, with ornate scroll work and the base that it stands on is also wonderfully decorated with leaves, more scroll work and cartouche in a shield shape on the front and back. It most likely graced the altar in a lovely old church at some point.
As previously mentioned, this is in excellent condition, looking as if it has been stored away for years, as the gold gilt is in beautiful condition for the age, and overall, very minimal wear.
Very hard to find a matched set with the candle holders, usually you only see the crucifix.
The crucifix has INRI inscription which stands for \"Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Ludaeorum\" or \"Jesus the Nazarene, King of the Jews.\"
Measurements: crucifix - 9\" tall by 4.5\" wide ---candlesticks - 5.25\" tall by 2.5\" across base.
