2\' ART DECO LAMP NUDE LADY RONSON MAX LE VEERIER BRONZE FIGURAL VINTAGE ANTIQUE For Sale

This beautiful and bold lamp features a lovely topless dancer holding a domed shade above her outstretched arms, I believe it is bronze but it may be spelter (zinc based metal alloy). This lamp was originally created by Max Le Verrier and titled \"DANSEUSE A LA COUPE\" or \"DANCER A CUP\" in english, this one has a RONSON sticker on the bottom of the base, Ronson used famous French works of art for lots of their lamps so this is not unusual.As previously mentioned, I believe the sculpture is bronze however it may be spelter which is a zinc based metal alloy with a verdigris finish. The base is rectangular marble with 4 rubber disc feet to provide protection against scratching your furniture. The shade is a clear crackle dome that fits securly into the metal ring held by the sculpture. The finishing touch is a new olive green vintage style twisted cloth cord with in-line switch and vintage bakelight plug.Condition should be judged by the pictures, there are no breaks or repairs to the sculpture, only age appropriate finish wear. The marble base I\'m sure has minor nibbles but nothing major. The shade has a crack which is really not even noticeable especially when mounted in the back, it is solid and sturdy.
