2 Vintage Wood Carved Sweden Sea Captain Fisherman Nautical Statues Sculptures
These wood sculptures are from Sweden.
The smaller of the two is marked, but I can\'t read the writing (see picture).
This loos like it could be a Carl Johan Trygg sculpture.
The larger wood sculpture is unsigned, but it also looks like it is from the same artist.
These pieces are in fair condition. They are very unique, but need to be restored. The paint has faded and chipped. There looks like a paint mark on the base of the smaller statue. The wood has chipped in some areas (like the hat of the smaller statue). At one point it looks like the sculptures had wood pipes, but the pipes have been damaged/missing. They look dusty or washed out.
Despite the wear these pieces are very cool looking. Some may like the shabby look, but others may love to restore them.
