2 antique trims: 1920s black silk crepe beaded bodice+rhinestone set neck trim For Sale

These are two dress fragments with lovely trim that have been saved for reuse.
First is an antique bodice from a 1920s flapper dress: it consists of a sleeveless bodice made of black silk crepe, with a wide banded neckline. The armholes are finished with similar bands, so apparently the dress was sleeveless. There is a small placket at the left shoulder that closes with two small snaps, as shown. Both sides of this bodice are decorated with WONDERFUL beaded patterns. The beads were sewn on by hand and are steel-cut glass beads that reflect the light. There are regularly spaced beads along the neckline and armholes, as shown. There are large flowers filled in with beads and leaves, and lines connecting them. The beading is quite lovely. It is really a dark black color but I have lightened a few photos so the detail shows up.Underneath the finished armholes the bodice has been cut, probably because of damage to the dress - the silk is lightweight and may not have supported the weight of a lot of beading. The measurements are shown in the photos. There is also an area of ripping around the snap closure, as shown in the last photos. Still, this bodice has lots of potential for reuse with the gorgeous beading. Second is a V-shaped neck inset made of beige silk crepe that has a large design of a bow in prong-set rhinestones. The entire piece measures about 17" long and the rhinestone area is ~ 12". All the rhinestones are present and securely fastened, although some are a bit less shiny - they all have life and shine to them. The fabric is lined with very lightweight batiste. Easy to see how this could be reused - great look!
