• Beautifully worked with LC signature embroidery.
• Rolled openwork edges.
• Cotton floss embroidery on 100% linen.
• 6 Unique fruit patterns.

These Loretta Caponi napkins were purchased in her flagship Florence shop in early 2003. Never used, they were carefully wrapped and stored until recently when they were dry cleaned in preparation for presentation here.

Please note that most vintage Loretta Caponi pieces carry no labels, logos, initials, or trademarks. The quality of the work is her announcement.

About

As her website says, Loretta Caponi is a story that blends Italian art and craftsmanship, focusing on the craft of embroidery. At the age of 9, Loretta was supporting her family through her work embroidering women’s sleepwear and undergarments. At 14 she sold her first commissioned piece and in 1967 opened her first shop in Florence, in the same year welcoming the future Queen of Belgium as an early client. Over the years the company has continued to be a purveyor of fine linen to the royal houses of Europe as well as to heads of state worldwide, diversifying into table, bed, and bath linen, most recently launching a line of women’s ready-to-wear.

One of my business goals, as a seller on , is to research and identify items correctly. I also pledge to identify any issues with any pieces I sell. I try to source great items and will sometimes sell items that have some minor wear or acceptable issues.
