Additional characteristics were a sense of dynamism andmovement, often given by asymmetry or whiplash lines. Art Nouveau is known bydifferent names in different languages, namely: Jugendstil in German, StileLiberty in Italian, Modernisme in Catalan as well as Modern Style in English.
