You are purchasing a beautiful vintage sterling silver Japanese Art Deco era hinged compact with a hand engraved peacock and lotus flower design. It is marked SILVER inside the piece as well as Japanese hallmarks on the outside of the piece and it is ingood pre owned condition with normal light use wear and a few shallow dings that do not detract. The lid snaps shut and the finish is original with a nice warm lightly tarnished patina and it is a very well made piece and looks nicer in person. The mirror inside is in good shape and it measures just over 2 3/4\" by 11mm thick and it weights 68.1 grams.
