PIECE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH NO ISSUES.
CARD SIGNED BY THE DIRECTOR OF ALBANY FINE CHINA, IDENTIFYING THIS PIECE AS NUMBER 220 OF 500 IS INCLUDED. (Photo 6)
NO ORIGINAL BOX. SOME DUST.
The entire piece is nine inches tall from the bottom of the base to the tip of the bronze grass. The water nymph is six inches long. The piece was sold in the late 1970\'s, early 1980\'s. This piece was designed by David Geenty. There is no damage to the bone china figurine. There is no damage to the bronze seahorses or seagrass/seaweed. There is no damage to the two crystal bubbles attached to the seaweed. There is no damage to the crystal base. THERE IS NO DAMAGE TO THIS PIECE.
The Water Nymph is attached to the bronze base by a metal post that goes into her hip. The ceramic nymph can be moved on that post. She does not come off but it will move if you attempt to move it. When you move her body to just above horizontal with the base, the piece will move no further. This is common with these pieces after 40 years. I only mention this because she can be twisted to an almost vertical position, at which point she could come into contact with the bronze. PLEASE NOTED (PHOTO 10) SHOWS THE NYMPH MOVED TO THE VERTICAL POSITION. ALL OTHER PHOTOS ARE TAKEN IN HER ORIGINAL ANGLE IN REFERENCE TO THE BASE. This photo allows you to see the care used in completing the underside of the figure, something you otherwise would not be able to see clearly.
- (PHOTO 12) shows a close up of one of the two seahorses- (PHOTO 4 & 15) allows a clear view of the two crystal bubbles on the top portion of the sea grass. It also allows you to see the care taken in completing her feet.
While the piece was limited to 500, the pieces made by Albany Fine China often did not result in a complete edition. This is a very hard piece to find.
I think she is gorgeous. I mean, check out her feet.
Shipping will require significant packaging and double boxing. PLEASE NOTE: It will likely take me a couple of days to package her as I do not keep the required materials handy and will have to purchase them.
