Rare Antique 1923 LV Aronson Cast Metal Cold Painted Bookends.
These rare antique bronzed cast scholar bookends from 1923 are marked LV Aronson on the base, with the original cold paint very much intact. The base has an ornate art nouveau engraved design. The bearded figures are clothed in robes with turbans and hold large books, signifying an interest and importance in scholarly pursuits. These bookends are close to 100 years old with slight wear to the cold paint as seen in images as they are close to 100 years old. It is quite unusual to find a pair of antique bronzed cast scholar bookends with the paint still on them. One bookend is missing green felt under it; perfect for display as a graduation gift, library shelves or office display.3.25” by 3.75” by 2”.
