Antique 19th Century FRENCH .950 Sterling SILVER Jam Container Sj DUPEZARD Scrap For Sale

Guaranteed to be original and as described -- Antique circa 1820\'s French hallmarked large .950 sterling silver ( Confiturier) Jam Container. This is strictly being sold as scrap .. which is described below. The maker of this jam container is S.J Dupezard fully hallmarked with the SjD lozenge shaped hallmark. The lid is hallmarked with a rooster duty mark and the inside of the bottom inside of the container is hallmarked with the makers mark and French head hallmark as well. The entire container with lid weighs a little over ONE POUND …. or 16 ounces total. Make an offer! ...... SIZE: 8 1/4 by 6 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle.. by 4 1/2 inches deep...CONDITION: The condition is just good as I stated above this is being sold as scrap IF one wanted to fix this then that would be their prerogative. The original glass insert is missing.. the wing on the insect is broken of ( still have the wing as shown). On one side near the bottom of the handle there is a small missing piece of the foliate design. In the design below that there is a missing leaf.
