Antique Austrian Bronze Hand Repousse'd Gold Gilded 7" Sleeved Fine Bud Vase 1890's (Gold Dore Wash-done at turn of 19th Century!)
Very unusual Hand, formed, shaped & hand hammered (repousse'd) Antique Bronze w-Gold Dore (wash) not used since 1915-20's. Unique, well designed has people, kids playing, park, forest scene all around it, nothing reproduced, different scenes all around! Beautifully done, then they put a hand cut copper/bronze sleeve inside so it can be functional as a vase & hold water for a bit. Very well done, beautiful rare piece, only seen one other which is why we know it is Austrian/Age, etc..Other one had different scenes on it but same size & design so maybe same person too!?
Works great for "12 Baby Roses" we used Red, but any color would work!
Measures: 7 inches tall V shaped, 2.25 inch wide at rim area, is attached to a separate hand done base of 2.25 inches round, leaved & etched as well.
