Antique Copper Hotdog Vendor from NYC. What a great old historic copper piece manufactured and used in NYC. The inside compartments for the hotdogs, buns & sauerkraut, as well as top lids are tinned. There is a gas connection and gas pipe on the bottom & side for heating the water for steaming. I would love to know where this has been...The Polo Grounds, Yankee Stadium, Ebbets Field, Race Tracks, Coney Island or so many other possible venues on the sidewalks of NY!.....and the hotdogs were probably delicious!
The condition is excellent , nice old copper patina. It would polish up beautifully. What great conversation piece to use to decorate your home. Measures approximately 17.25” high (without handle) x 15" long x 15" wide.
