Featuring handmade antique recreated French and German Mid-to late 19th century Costumed Novelties, a blend of the old with the new, somethings found and somethings made. Each item is created to bring to life those precious novelties and toys of an era long gone. Excellent Quality Antique Dolls, German Style Santas, Candy Containers, Dresden Ornaments and Toys. All amusingly arranged, full of whimsy and surprise. Once only offered in the late 19th century during the Holidays, now you can buy them all year long, right here. All items are handcrafted using antique materials Antique Kestner BisqueHead Doll candy container.She stands 24\" high. She is stunning!! My antique doll marottes and candy containers have gone all over the world, some in museums to show what can be done with the older dolls.
She has Blue glass spiral eyes that open and close, thick multistroked eyebrows, which is seen on the desireable older dolls. Openmouth with rounded teeth. Beautiful molded ears. Her white blonde mohair wig is sweet and very german the way it is pulled back, crowned with an antique french wedding crown with some wax orange blossoms and a bow.
Her dress smock is made from antique 1880 doll clothing and is superbly tatted lace at the bottom and full and fluffy. She is wearing an antique slip underneath. Her coat is antique and a doll coat, in the most glorious pink red velvet with its ORIGINAL teeny gold buttons, lined too. Her lower body is made with antique Kestner compo legs and she is wearing her original socks and the shoes!! SILK, german early doll shoes with tatted edges. Rare by themselves. She is permanently affixed to the pine board base.
Her bisque doll hands are 1880 and fully MOLDED with wonderful detailing. The BEND as well. She is holding and antique embroidered silk misers purse from 1850-70. It is stuffed with handmade and vintage german toys. My little handmolded palmer cox style brownie boy is front and center.
