Antique 19th C. Picture Frame - American Late Federal Classical Empire In Original Surface
Offered here is the antique picture frame shown in the photos.
I would call it Federal or Empire style.I believe the wood could be mahogany, but I'm no expert so draw your own conclusions.Please see the photos to judge condition for yourself. Has average expected wear and age indicators for a picture frame that may be approaching 200 years old.
Measures on the exterior: 13.75x16.5"
Will hold art or mat that measures: 9.5x12" (that longer dimension leans toward 12.25", but being handmade it probably was supposed to be 12").
Ready to hang. Glass is good and wavy.
