This listing is for a rare French inkstand or encrier
thatcarries the Sevresmark of crossed Ls encasing the letter B for 1754, during the reign of LouisXV.
It measures approximately 5 by 4 inches and stands 3inches high.
(or 12.5 by 10 by 7.5 cm.)
The oval body stands on four animal paw feet. This inturn sits on an octagonal shaped base
sitting on four ball feet. It isdecorated in Sevres green with hand painted floral swag decoration and heavygold highlights.
All of this is very pretty and typical of Sevres decoration ofthat period.
