I am pleased to offer from my private collection this important historical antique Empire Pre-Revolution Era 18k solid gold jewelled star brooch  c1880's.
The brooch is decorated with top quality old Rose cut Diamonds with estimated total weight of 6ct.
A lot of sparkles.The sparkle of old cut diamonds is deeper and warmer, almost glowing in a way that draws the eye into the stone instead of bouncing the light back out. This makes old cut diamonds star performers in candlelight and other low light settings. 
The brooch has been awarded by Empress Maria  to her maid of honor 
Countess Evgenya Vasilchikova.
It comes from her family estate.
The brooch comes with the original luxury presentation box which is decorated with the personal cypher monogram of Empress Maria.
