Very Old Unmarked (looks like Griswold but no markings) 10\" Diameter, Width 10\", Length 15\". Thin side with swirl design pattern on inside of pan. May be unmarked Griswold.Recently restored and seasoned.
Rare & Original Gate Marked No.8 Cast Iron Round Griddle. Original. Bold 8 Logo on back, Round Reinforcement Heat Ring with Gate Mark. Interesting Dinner Plate like rim around edge. A very heavy, handled round Griddle, measuring about 10\" (less handle). Very good overall, as used shape, recently restored and seasoned, no cracks or damage. Sets basically flat on my counter top. U This would make an excellent old piece of ironware for cooking, camping or collecting. Please check pictures carefully for best description and details. Questions are welcome. Point of interest; Gate marked pans typically do not have the manufacturer’s name on them. Gate marked pans are the oldest of the old cast iron cookware; almost certainly antique. The gate mark is a remnant of the casting process that was used in the 1800’s. In around 1890, soon after this casting process was mostly discontinued.
