Available for purchase is a vintage Bradley & Hubbard Oil Lamp that has some small dings but still looks great. It is of brass construction except for the base which is castiron with a brass finish. The lamp stands 24 inches high and 12 inches wide from handle to handle. The shade (globe) is 10 inches. The base is 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches square and the oil font is 5 inches across. Chimney measures 10 1/2 inches high. The wick doesn\'t look to have ever been used. The handles are solid brass The hole is in the outer shell of the bowl just next to one of the handles. The bowl, I call it, where the handles attach, is brass coated. The oil font is within this bowl and the hole does not go thru to the inside. There is some small dings along the bowl here and there being as old as it is, not to bad. I don\'t know much about how these work but I\'m sure the wick is to go up and down with the turn of the knob. It does not. When you turn the knob, there is a small rod that goes up and down. I\'m assuming to measure the oil level. The hand painted globe has no cracks or chips. Has the metal ring on the top, which are often missing from globes. Has a brilliant luster all around. I\'m tried to tell you everything that I think you need to know if you intend to purchase this lamp. But if I missed something you want to know, just ask. I will ship this out the cheapest way but still package it for safe shipping. Most likely, it will be shipped in separate boxes to protect from breaking. The weight of this lamp without the packing materials is 7 lbs 8oz. Most likely it will be around 9 lbs.
