What is a galloon? The ones I will be listing were all made in France in the 1920's - 1940's. These richly ornamental ribbon tape trims were produced using metal threads in a vast range of brocade like patterns, woven on a cotton background. They lend an antique opulence to any decorative project. They are all unused and in excellent condition, having a wonderful antique patina to them and many times, the back is just as beautiful as the front! This galloon is 13/16" and made with a gold metallic thread on a black background. The price listed is for 1 yard.
This item is original antique stock from the archives of Tinsel Trading, in NY, which was founded by my grandfather in 1933. I am constantly adding ribbons, trims, tassels, cords, fringes and more, somedating back as far as 1880's.
