This is a rare Antique Wilcox Quadruple Plate Jewelry Cask Trinket Box.This casket is an amazing example of why early Wilcox of Meriden is so prized.This box is Victorian or Art Nouveau & is four footed on small ball beads.It has an absolutely gorgeous floral forget me not & wind design.The design is pierced or reticulated along the base.The lid has a central engravable area for a monogram.This is an 1870-80's example and is numbered with a 6 or 9.This makes it a very early example of their craftsmanship.See hallmarking picture for reference.There is a beautiful naturally aged & toned antique patina.We will polish store bright showroom new only by request.This box measures about 2&1/4in height, 4&1/8in length and is 4&1/8 width.This is a prime example of early Wilcox Meriden Conn..There are no problems, issues or repairs.It is an estate treasure.
