Authentic Roman Lorica Squamata, Greaves And Cloak For Sale

This is a set for a roman centurion based on the funerary stelae of quintus sertorius festus from the 1st century. I had been working towards the full impression but unfortunately i have to sell what I have made so far due to unexpected expenses, the lorica is the best reproduction of this particular armor in the entire world, it took me one full year to complete, 4,500 scales, cut, punched and stamped by hand. The scales are sewn to a double layer linen backing, using 3mm hemp cord they are attached to the backing using period correct methods, the scales ate brass with properties similar to the original findings, the lorica is edged in multi pieces red and yellow goat leather, stitched with yellow waxed linen cord. The linen backing has been coated with a light coat of beeswax to help with water resistance. Contrasting rows of copper scales and the buckles are also copper. The shoulder pieces are made from embossed brass sheet partially fire tinned. The greaves are embossed by hand with chisels and hammer. The edging is brass tube style, soldered with tin like originals also fired tinned. The cloak sagum. Is made of sheep wool hand woven in Europe and dyed with plant red dye it measures 94” x 45”
