BRONZE ART DECO FIGURAL LAMP PIERRE LE FAGUAYS FAYRAL MAX LE VERRIER SCULPTURE For Sale

  Up for your consideration is this beautiful Art Deco lamp, featuring Diana and a gazzelle, silouetted by a slag glass shade on a stepped marble base.  This lamp is based on the sculpture by Pierre Le Faguays \"Seduction\" which was signed with his pseudo name \"Fayral\".  The sculpture used in this lamp is neither an original or a reproduction, but a modern copy by Aldo Vhitalay.  I have converted it into a lamp as well as applying a finish similar to those applied at the Max Le Verrier foundry where the original was cast in the 1930\'s.  Both figures are cold finished 100% bronze, NOT RESIN.  The figures were cast in the hot wax method and are true works of art with striking detail.  Diana is very voluptuous with a beautiful face, barely covered by a cloth.  The gazzelle is quite muscular and gracefull in appearance.  The base is stepped marble, black with minimal white veins.  The shade is Tiffany style foiled slag glass, iridescent white with iridescent cobalt blue brick pattern arround the edge.  The cord is new braided cloth to finish the vintage look, it has an inline switch and authentic bakelight plug.   This wonderful lamp is ready for display, sure to be enjoyed for generations to come as well as increase in value as only fine art can.  Condition should be judged by the pictures however there are no brakes or repairs, one small chip on the bottom left side of base as pictured.
