Best Zuni Yelmo Gillerimo Betty Natachu Ring Sz 6 Knifewing Inlaid Mosaic Inlay:
$500.65

Welcome!
WHAT IS GREAT ABOUT IT:This superb knifewing ring by Yelmo Gillerimo and Betty Natachu is exceptionally fine and detailed, so striking in the wonderful inlay work. It\'s much more beautiful in person than the pictures because the work is very tiny, and so perfect, and the magnified pictures lose how exquisite the work actually is in actual size. They were among the best Zuni inlay artists, and their work is just wonderful. They never created the exact same design twice but their work is always identifiable, and always contains difficult elements, like both curved and straight line inlay. One author spends 8 pages discussing their work and he claims the value of their work is higher now than when his book was published. I also have a small pin of theirs, and included pictures of it, above, as well as one pair of their earrings with a shepherd\'s hook, and a pair of earrings for pierced ears; the pin and pairs of earrings are available separately. The earrings would make a great set with the ring and pin, each available separately in my store. This ring is made with red abalone, turquoise, jet and mother of pearl inlaid to perfection. The ring has gorgeous tiny stamped hand made and applied raindrops adorning it as well as raindrops at the base and fine spiraled wires used for the earrings of the knifewing figure himself. Each tiny element is perfectly executed and the ring is just wonderful. The colors are perfection, flattering every complexion.
The legendary figure in Zuni – Knifewing – was half-man, half-eagle with knife-shaped feathers, or wings. Knifewing was a warrior known as the Great One who came down from his ethereal plateau to bestow wisdom, strength and courage amongst his recipients, only revealing himself to the warriors who serve as protectors of the Pueblo.
CONDITION:The condition is excellent vintage wearable and collectible.
MEASUREMENTS:• the face size is about 1-1/4\" x 7/8\"• the ring size is 6 • weight 6.27grams• unsigned and not marked for metal content but they are sterling silver and the attribution is certain to Yelmo and Betty Natachu
SUMMARY:Everything is perfectly executed and this is among the finest of mosaic inlay rings. This couple always shows off their skill with fine and unusual details. There are fine details everywhere and it makes this ring astonishingly gorgeous. Available separately but appearing in the pics above are a pin and two different pairs of earrings, one with shepherd\'s hook and one with post. Their work is highly collectible and as good as it gets in Zuni mosaic inlay work. Yes, museum quality!

I request payment by PayPal in two days, but planned in advance of purchase, alternate payment methods and time payments can generally be arranged.

I generally ship same day. Domestic: FREE Priority shipping with Tracking always and Signature Confirmation included on shipments over $749.

International buyers pay actual shipping cost and are responsible for any customs fees their own countries may apply. Please discuss changing shipping method prior to purchase. My shipping defaults to Express International, which is tracked and insured, but I can use Priority Mail International. It\'s less expensive and is also tracked. First Class International is no longer offered by the US Postal Service. I charge the actual shipping cost and since shipping to each country may cost a different amount, I will charge a little extra and refund the exact difference once I can put your address in and print a shipping label. I am no longer shipping to Italy and China, but can make exceptions if you speak with me about it, especially if you are a prior customer.

I\'m no longer accepting returns having refunded $1350 for a bracelet I never received. Returns must be in the same condition they were shipped. If I make a significant mistake in a listing I\'ll always give you a full refund. The 20% restocking fee does not apply when the mistake is mine. I care that you\'re happy and about my accuracy, and will always stand behind my work. My attributions are guaranteed for my lifetime.

When I include pages from published books in my listings it is in accordance with Fair Use Law, which permits the use of source material for discussion, reference, education and criticism.

Attributions on many of the old pieces of Native American jewelry are sometimes a moving target. All the books have errors, so in addition to counterchecking, I have developed some expertise over the years and I do care about getting it right, so as more information comes to light I update my listings and also get in touch with my previous buyers, to inform them of any changes in attributions. I am sincerely committed to ongoing accuracy.

Everything I sell comes from my personal collection or is something that I would include in my personal collection. Most pieces are museum worthy and gallery suitable, sold to you at great pricing. I vet every item carefully for quality and condition, and offer you the best. I want you to be able to rely on me for top quality, superb items that are often unique and rare examples of old antique vintage southwest, indian, native american and fine gold and gemstones, whether you\'re starting a collection or adding to one, or want something great to wear or gift. My goal is that all my buyers are delighted, that my special pieces find the right homes.
