This listing is for a Boehm Porcelain Limited Edition Bird Sculpture "VERDINS" 400-02. Designed by Edward Marshall Boehm and produced by the Edward Marshall Boehm Porcelain Studio in Trenton, New Jersey, the Verdins on Thorn was issued in 1969 as a Limited Edition of 750 pieces. The edition was reduced to 575 and closed in 1979 . The sculpture features a male and a female Verdin, also known as Yellow-Headed Bush Tit, in a setting of Stewart Crucifiction Thorn, one of their favorite building materials. Also featured in the center of the composition base is a bee. Mold #400-02. This figurine is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures approximately 9" high by 8 3/4" wide and 7" deep. These are VERY Rare, in the last 7 years, there have only been 4 to be listed on !
