COBRA SNAKE UNIVERSAL STATUARY CORP 1967 PROMOTIONAL DISPLAY SHELBY FORD 17" tall and 10" wide at base.
This statue was a Ford promotional item back in the late 60's. It was made by the now defunct Universal Statuary Corporation that was in Chicago. Its made of a chalkware compound. It is model # 422 from their catalog and was copyrighted in 1967. You can find a picture of one in the liner notes of Muddy Water's 1968 album "Electric Mud" (see photo) The statue is made by UNIVERSAL STATUARY CORP dated 1967 #422. It is 17 inches tall and weighs 11 pound. The condition is very good and has no breaks for repairs.
