DAVID BOYE, DOLAN SPRINGS, AZ. HANDMADE DENDRITIC CARofferE CRYSTAL ETCHED BLUE WHALE LOCKBACK FOLDING KNIFE, c. 1971-PRESENT, 4” KNIFE, nearly 3” leaf shaped lock back cast 440C blade, saber and hollow ground, satin finish, marked on the ricasso “BOYE USA” & “BDS CARofferE CRYSTAL” Also, etched “blue whale” near the top of the blade.   Black composition handle, drilled and sleeved for a lanyard, slight pistol grip pommel.  Black titanium pocket clip. Boye Knives specialize in high performance cobalt alloy knives, suited to the salt water, environment. This knife is used but in great shape considering the vintage. A couple of fine scratches on the blade near the tip, but no damage to the blade or edge. Knife is fairly sharp. Doesn\'t look to have been sharpened much if at all. Some wear on pocket clip.
