******************This sale includes two production drawings of Abner, the country mouse, featured in Disney's Silly Symphony cartoon titled "The Country Cousin." Errol created the concept and pre-ink pencil drawings used in the production. One of the drawings includes Errol's initials "EG".Wilfred Jackson directed this Silly Symphony, and it won the Academy Award for Best Cartoon.
Prior to "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," Errol worked on many of the Silly Symphony projects.
******************Errol Gray was an illustrator for Walt Disney Studios from the years of 1934-1945. He worked on many features including "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." While working for Disney, he developed the Huntsman and Dopey characters. His work included animation sequences of the Huntsman in Forest, Snow White and various other characters and animals in the movie.
Recently, Errol's art has also been validated by Harry Kleiman ... and featured, represented, and sold through RR sales, Heritage sales, and several other prominent galleries and art dealers in the United States.
Errol also supported the worked on, produced, and directed training films Walt Disney Studios created/produced for the U.S.A. Armed Forces in during World War II.
