An international football tournament “Sports Without Borders” was held at the Kresty pre-trial detention center. On June 28, 2016, on the football field of pretrial detention center No. 1, teams of theater and cinema artists of St. Petersburg, the city prosecutor’s office, football veterans “Zenit-84”, the national team of the St. Petersburg diocese, the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, pre-trial detention center-1 and a team of convicts left to carry out work on the economic maintenance of the institution. For the first time, a team of theater and film artists from the Republic of Hungary became the guests of the tournament, thereby giving the event an international status.
