Fossil Dinosaur Embryo, Petrified Texas Soft Tissue Specimen, Amazing Features :
$150.00

An amazing example of the type of fossil most people will never come across due to the scarcity of petrified soft tissue specimens. Most Paleontologists are under the false belief that Texas only has a dinosaur fossil record in the "Big Bend" region.  I live in San Antonio and my large collection of rare dinosaur fossils is a completely local collection. I found all of my fossils close to my home, some buried in the ground, some partially exposed and others lying on the surface fully exposed. I have a lot of petrified soft tissue fossils which are almost non-existent in the science community.  I hate to be the guy, without a degree in Geology or Paleontology, to have to break the news to the experts that Texas not only has a huge dinosaur fossil record covering a lot more than the "Big Bend" region, but a considerable percentage of these "non-existent" fossils are petrified soft tissue examples.  The fossil record around my home is in plain sight yet completely unknown to everyone who should be very aware of it, especially the people who denounce and scoff at even   the mention of it but have never been here to see for themselves.  This fossil is an unhatched embryonic specimen that was petrified. The egg it was growing inside  didn't make the trip. If you are at all  familiar with egg embryology, the position of the Fossil should be plain as day.  The way it is curled up is how it grew inside the egg. Many prehistoric embryos are similar to modern egg embryos, like chickens or snakes. This specimen has visible teeth, eyes , facial structure , tail, skin, etc. This fossil should be easy to identify for most people who click on the pics/scans. Picture 6 also shows a small footprint/track left on the specimen from either being scavenged or being stepped on before petrification began. I have many prehistoric footprints/tracks fossils in my collection which are actually embedded on top of soft tissue fossils. I will be listing more petrified soft tissue fossils as time permits.
