Description from the maker:
This freehand plateau is a flawless bent pipe with a limited edition SEM German colored ebonite stem. The pipe is a rounded at either end and flat on the sides. This pips has a properly drilled draught hole that allows for the smooth passage of a pipe cleaner. This pipe started out as a plateau block of wood from Mimmo in Italy that I drew the shape of this pipe on and drilled the holes in it and then cut off the excess wood. After this I proceeded to sand the stummel down to the desired shape and size. I then drilled the holes in the ebonite rod for the stem and glued the tenon in and then shaped the stem and the sand it and the stummel by hand. After that I stained and polished the stummel and stem with carnauba wax and did a final dry buff on both.
