Great French Early 19th CenturyPatinated Bronze Mantel Clock with Bust of Euclidwith Silk Suspension Movement, in Superb Condition

Outstanding early 19th century bronze clock with the bust of Euclid. The condition of this clockis superb. Original bronze casting and patinaare fantastic. Casting is of superb quality, finely detailed.The silk thread suspension movementis fairly clean, strikes perfectly and runs well.Porcelain hand painted dial has some small repairs and faint hairlines, but still looks quite good. It is signed by the clock\'s maker - Laguesse (from Paris). Pendulum and bellwere removed to take a better picture of the movement, butboth areincluded with the clock (I will include a key, as well). Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures 16\" high and has some weight to it.

I have a Ph.D. in mathematics, it crossed my mind that maybe it would be appropriate for me to keep these clocks, but I just have too many clocks as it is...

All antique pendulum based clocks require at least a minimal expertise to balance correctly to make them run - please keep this in mind when buying.
