THIS NO 5 GRISWOLD WAS TAKEN DOWN TO BARE METAL WITH SILICA BEADS THEN THOROUGHLY CLEANED WITH WARM MINERAL OIL WHEN NO MORE CRUDE WAS SEEN IT WAS SEASONED WITH HOT LARD WHICH GOES QUICKLY INTO THE CLEANED PORES SEALING THEM.IT IS THEN SEASONED AT 525 DEGREES FOR ONE HOUR THEN ALLOWED TO COOL DOWN SLOWLY THIS MAKES THE SURFACE HARDER. IT WEIGHS 2 LB 7 OZ .IT WAS TESTED ON A LEVEL GLASS SURFACE NO SPIN NO WOBBLE.
