Haile Selassie
Longtime Emperor of Ethiopia (1892-1975) who reigned from 1930 to 1974. Selassie is one of the most revered figures among followers of the Rastafari movement.Signed vintage matte-finish 4.125 x 5.875" photograph in blue steel tip fountain pen. Selassie also adds the date, "1963."
The photo was taken by court photographer Tony Boyadijian in Addis Abab in 1953. It was chosen by the Emperor to be his official Silver Anniversary of Coronation photo used in 1955 and thereafter.
