High Class Large Singing Bowl 10.75\"×9.25\" Rin Gong Japanese Buddhism VintageDescription
   Singing bowls are played by striking the rim of the bowl with a padded mallet. They can also be played by the friction of rubbing a wood, plastic, or leather wrapped mallet around the rim of the bowl to emphasize the harmonic overtones and a continuous \'singing\' sound.
    This Japanese brass Buddhist singing bowl is probably around 60-70 years old, but smooth sound, very very relaxing with no shrill overtones. Our Japanese style bowls are the same as used in temples all over Japan today.
Large Singing Bowl
This Japanese Buddhist large singing bowl is probably made of copper, and around 60-70 years old. It has no maker\'s markings. There is general wear, dustiness, and tarnishing, with some spots of minor oxidation and several dents, but there is no significant structural damage. When we struck it, the bell\'s sound has sustained for more than 30 seconds.
