They are built to scale with high-grade woodsuch as western red cedar, rosewood, and mahogany. They are 100% hand builtindividually using plank-on-frame construction method and are similar to thebuilding of actual ships. Each model requires hundreds of hours to finish andmust go through a demanding quality control process before leaving theworkshop.
This beautiful Mayflower model comesin the natural wood finish. It features a plank on frame, three full masts, andbeautiful details on each side of the hull. The front bowsprit and three largemasts are connected securely using advanced rigging and lines painstakinglyknotted and fastened by hand. Metal anchors are hanging securely on the ship.On the deck, there are wooden ladders, authentic hand-built lifeboats with ribsand planks, and many other spectacular ornaments.

History:The Mayflower brought the first group of Pilgrims to NorthAmerica in 1620. As originally conceived, the expedition included anothervessel, the Speedwell, but the latter proved unseaworthy. The Mayflower, about180 gross tons and carrying 102 passengers, finally got underway from Plymouth,England, on September 16, 1620.
The ship was headed for Virginia, where thecolonists had been authorized to settle. As a result of stormy weather andnavigational errors, the vessel failed to make good its course, and on November21 the Mayflower rounded the end of Cape Cod and dropped anchor off the site ofpresent-day Provincetown, Massachusetts. No one knows exactly what the shiplooked like, but it was probably about 27 m (90 ft) long, had three masts andtwo decks, and probably weighed about 180 tons.

For any other reasons thatyou are not satisfied with our models, simply return it within 7days and wewill refund the money. Restocking 15% fees apply. Amount will be refundedexcluding shipping charges. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges.
