This is a Stereo card of the city of Escuintla, Guatemala and the twin volcanoes of Fuego & Acatenango in Central America. It is from the Keystone “Visual Education” 600 card “Tour of the World” set from the late 1910\'s and shows great details. This set was used in schools to teach children about the world. As with most Keystone sets, some of the images were taken years before the issue date of this set. Unlike most Keystone “Tour of the World” sets, this set has a very heavy emphasis on manufacturing around the world and includes factories, transportation, farming, mining, etc. Most cards in this set are in very good to excellent condition with typical wear to the edges. Any damage to this particular card will be listed below. This card is titled \"Escuintla and the Twin Volcanoes Fuego and Acatenango, Guatemala, C. A.\" and is numbered 291 with a Keystone negative number of 12872. This card is in very good to excellent condition but has a couple of small ink stains on the back of the card. It measures 3 1/2\" by 7”. The back of the card is printed with information about the subject. I will be listing more Stereoviews on a regular basis, so check back for more views. Don’t miss out!
Stereoviews or Stereo Cards have two nearly identical images mounted side by side. When looked at through a stereo viewer they give a three-dimensional image. Most popular from 1854 to 1938, they were produced in vast quantities, and many are of historical interest. They usually measure about 3 ½” by 7”.
