This is a beautiful specimen of a large yellowish-brown Thomsonite sphericule and crystals. This beautiful piece was found at Kannad, Chalisgadon, Maharashtra, India. #150
Physical Characteristics:
- Color is yellowish light brown.
- Luster is vitreous to pearly.
- Transparency: Crystals are translucent to opaque.
- Crystal System is orthorhombic.
- Crystal Habits include tight acicular radiating clusters and sphericules.
- Cleavage is perfect.
- Fracture is uneven.
- Hardness is 5 - 5.5
- Specific Gravity is approximately 2.2 - 2.4 (light).
- Streak is white.
- Dimensions: 3" x 2 1/16" x 1 9/16" (76mm x 52mm x 40mm)at the widest points.
