MODERN ART Design, Signed 1996 Hand-Painted RUSSIAN Wooden BUTTON, LARGE For Sale

Beautiful, wooden button -- MODERN ART Design -- was produced in Russia / the USSR in the 1990s. The painting depicts a young woman who seems either distraught or lost in thought. The lovely painted design was done in an Expressionism or Post-Impressionism style. This may have been patterned from an actual famous painting, but I\'m not aware of who did the original. The button was hand-painted, on a wooden disc, by a skilled Russian artist. It has been signed and dated on the back by the artist -- the year is 1996, but I can\'t quite make out the exact name. There is a drilled-through, self shank on the back. Please refer to the ruler in the image for the size. Overall condition: Solid VG+/Excellent..... The button may have slight surface wear -- but there are no cracks, chips, or other more serious flaws. It is in very nice shape and it will display beautifully. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. So please use the attached images to form your own opinions. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards.
