This Nishijin woven work is based on the characters of Leiji Matsumoto,a manga artist who created many popular works such as \"Space Battleship Yamato\"and \"Galaxy Express 999\" and died 2023 year at the age of 85.\"Nishijin-Ori Maetel 999\".Yakuno-cho, Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Prefecture, known for its beautiful starry skies,is a place connected to Galaxy Express 999,At that time, the director of the Nishijin Textile Museum of Art worked together with his acquaintances to recommend him for the position, and in 2019 he created a Nishijin textile piece depicting the work\'s heroine, Maetel.The curator said, \"When Mr. Leiji Matsumoto took a look at the Nishijin-ori work, he praised it for its bright colors and three-dimensional feel.\"Now that orders for the work have ended, it has become a very valuable work of art.
