This is one of the most stunning pieces I have ever acquired. This is aMassive Dated 1929 Bronze On Wood Commemorative Church Crucifix
Bronze Jesus on the cross - Cross is wood and measures 40\" Tall and 24\" Wide. This massive pieces weighs 19 Lbs 14 Ozs
Bronze is all intact in nice clean well cared for condition. The wood has some normal scuffs and two paint blisters on the finish noted in the last two photographs.
The 90 year old lady I acquired it from told me it came from a church / Chapel in the Lawrence, Mass area and this was a gift made to commemorate the death of her uncle in 1928. This is all I know about the piece.
