This piece was created and released by Disney in 1997. Edition size is 2500 pieces. Cel size is 13 x 9 inches. Framed size is 19 x 15 inches. Original Disney wood frame. The Studios created the character image using fine art screen-printing known as serigraphy. Disney artists specially created a hand-inked, hand-painted animation cel master which was used in the production of these sericels. A total of 8 colors were used to recreate the color image, which were exactingly screen-printed one at a time onto the acetate cel. The background scene is a digitally enhanced reproduction of a vintage photograph of Walt Disney taken from the photo library of The Walt Disney Company. It has been lithographically printed on premium-quality acid free paper.

Some Sericels are labeled as Seri-graphed cels. The words Sericel and Serigraphed cel are synonymous and may be interchangeable, since Seri-cel is a contraction of the words Serigraphed-cel. Some collectors get hyped with some sericel\'s having Serigraphed cel printed on them. Relax it\'s the same thing the words are interchangeable. A Sericel is a serigraphy process that involves silk-screening each individual color to the cel, one at a time. Every distinct shade is a separate screen, and a separate pass in the procedure. As a result of this fine art operation, each color is flawlessly reproduced. Sericels are also created in limited quantities, typically 2500 to 5000 pieces and sometimes even 9500. Because of their larger edition size, sericels are the most affordable type of animation art, ideal for the beginning collector.
