NOS NIB Vintage O.M.G.S. Model 66 Tube Radio Japan New In Box 1960s + 2 Speakers:
$127.50

Item: Vintage Tube Radio

Listing #1

Update 12/15. I just got response from the very first person who bought one of these from me and I got his permission to share the message he sent me in regards to his satisfaction of the radio. He happens to be a Avid Vintage AM Tube Radio Collector and its fair to say \"he knows his stuff\"!! This is his direct quote:

Hi Chris,

Just wanted to follow up on the radio which arrived as scheduled on 12/12. It did power on as expected and sounded great for such a tiny unit. There was some static when adjusting the volume but this is to be expected considering the amount of time it was in storage and it is easily remedied with some contact cleaner to the on/off volume switch. Overall, I\'m very impressed with the museum quality cosmetic condition of this radio, inside and out and it is very displayable as it is. The cool factor is definitely there! Hope to do business again with you soon!\"

Provenance: I\'m a \"picker\" and recently met a gentleman who once owned a hotel back in the 1960\'s. He ACTUALLY had 7 identical Tube Radios that were originally were to be put in each hotel room. These were spares actually. Each one is NEW OLD STOCK - NEW IN THE BOX to the truest meaning of those phrases. Five of the Seven are \"O.M.G.S.\" Brand of Japan and Two are Labeled \"NorthAmerican\" Brand (Made In Japan Though). All Seven are identical in every way except for what is printed on the box basically. This listing is for (1) O.M.G.S.. Although ALL 7 of these are NOS/NIB some have been removed from the box either for photo purposes or to be tested. So, as much as I wish I could put all of the radios in one listing with a quantity of 7, I simply can\'t because they are all in different \"levels\" of New Old Stock. Down below is a excerpt of specifics from the Radio Museum which features this Specific Model Radio.

Description: For Sale is a Vintage 1960\'s O.M.G.S. Brand Radio which was Originally Made In Japan. This one has been removed for photo purposes and tested. AM Radio Only....No FM Radio. Although technically not \"Stereo\", this Radio features (2) External Speakers which are connected to the radio by a wire. This is a (6) Tube Radio and I have a feeling it may be the last (or close to last) Tube Radios that came out of Japan before they changed to Transistor. Below are specifications and I am sure my photos will best further describe this item.

Condition: On a scale of 1 - 10 (Ten being New in Package Only), I can confidentlygrade this item\'s condition to be a solid 9 at least. Overall and Especially for being 45+ Years Old, this Retro Vintage Tube Radio is in SUPERB Condition. It better be in Superb Condition because it literally is New Old Stock - Never Used New In Box. This specific one has been removed for photo purposes and has been tested to ensure it works. I have not plugged in the speakers though, just the radio. I wanted to leave at least a portion of this item totally sealed and unopened. All components of this item are No Less than 90% Identical with Absolutely ZERO Cracks/Chips. In Photo#8 it shows the back of the radio. There appears to be a rectangular decal that is missing. I assume the glue dried and it fell off somewhere. I\'ll look for it but no guarantees. Due to natural aging and because it was not stored in a airtight container over the last decades, you will possibly find some areas of the black plastic are slightly discolored. I stress the word \"Slightly\".All of the Tubes Light Up and depending on where you live you should be able to get some static at the very least and possibly some faint AM radio station. I can guarantee the radio powers up and that is all I can do. My target buyer is NOT somebody planning on using this as their primary radio, but someone who is a collector and wants to take the opportunity to actually buy a NEW IN BOX - NEW OLD STOCK Retro Radio. Afterall, how often does that chance come up? My photos are anaccurate depiction of this item\'s TRUECondition.

If you prefer a Radio that has NEVER been removed from the box and totally sealed as it came from the factory, check out my other listings or message me please.
