CARDIGAN JACKET
with 2 patches and early logo
Up for sale is a rare early National Bohemian, "Natty Boh" cardigan. I would place this jacket 1940's or 50's, maybe earlier but I'm comfortablewith 40's or 50's. This cardigan has two patches. One with an early embroidered right facing Mr. Boh with 10 curl lines in his hair, most logos only have a couple curl lines. The second patch is located on the back, and is also embroidered with NATIONAL BOHEMIAN, "oh boy, what a beer" and another Mr Boh logo with the same high number of curl lines. I would
Condition
The jacket I would say is a size small and in fair condition, withsome fading on the front and trim. Thecollar has some unravelingat the top an in the center. It was produced by BRENT WINDWARD OUTERWEAR. The patches are both embroidered and bright in color. This super rare cardigan jacket would be a great addition to any collection, and you'd be hard pressed to find another.
History
1885
A Bohemian-style beer, Natty Boh was first brewed by the National Brewing Company in Baltimore, Maryland.
1933
National Bohemian returned with the introduction of Mr. Boh, the one-eyed mascot with a handlebar-mustache and distinctive smile. Instantly adopted as a symbol of a proud city, Mr. Boh continues to be the iconic face for the brand today appearing on all cans, bottles, packaging and merchandise found in shops all over Maryland.
1940's
Canned beer started becoming popular and National was the first brewer in the U.S. to put six-packs of cans on the market.
1950's
National Brewing continued to proudly represent Baltimore and the Maryland shore, adopting the now famous slogan: “From the Land of Pleasant Living”
1965
National Bohemian became the official sponsor of the Baltimore Orioles. Natty Boh was served at Memorial Stadium and cemented its reputation as “official” beer of Baltimore.
2013
Today, Natty Boh has returned to the traditional recipe that made it the beer of choice in Baltimore and across the mid-Atlantic. Likewise, Mr. Boh continues to be a symbol of the community he so proudly represents and can be seen keeping watch over the city on top of the Natty Boh Tower. But he represents far more than a simple mascot, he is also the uncrowned king of Baltimore and plays a significant role in what makes Baltimore different from any other city in the world.

About Us
MdArchitectural Rescue is a different type of recycling company. We have operated in Baltimore and surrounding areas since 1996. After starting out rescuing fireplace mantles and cast iron door locks from construction dumpsters, we have opened our eyes to may types of waste that are often over looked and fall through the cracks. Our focus is and always will be vintage items of the highest quality. But with our eyes now open we put a lot of effort in bringing you high end collectibles from every industry available and at a very reasonable price. All our items are salvaged and are for the most part American Made. One week we could be in an old School, Brewery, Factory, and the following weekat a Shipyard or Power plant, you just never know. Also, one day we may be removing Vintage lighting, the next day Signs and Vintage blueprints and the following day cleaning out a machine shop or high end parts room. We literally have NO idea what we have coming around corner, so make sure you add us to your favorites and check back often.
