Old Vintage Antique Glass Vial Jar Sperry Gyroscope Co Brooklyn NY Ball Bearings For Sale

This listing is for an old glass vial of ball bearings from the Sperry Gyroscope Company of Brooklyn, NY. The date on the label looks to be 10/9/41. The company was founded in 1910 by Elmer Ambrose Sperry to manufacture navigation equipment, most of which were his own inventions. Originally located at 40 Flatbush Avenue, the company diversified into aircraft components, including bomb sights and fire control systems, during World War I and gradually expanded. I’m guessing these components were made for something used during WWII when military demand skyrocketed and wartime contracts poured in. There are four ball bearings, still in a small quantity of oil. Very old-looking vial. The ruler is shown for purposes of scale only.
